About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of People to build and lead Burnham Park’s human capital function from the ground up. This executive will architect the firm’s talent strategy — designing the systems, culture, and infrastructure that underpin a performance-driven, employee-first organization. The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of high-finance fluency and modern HR technology expertise: equally comfortable navigating FINRA U4/U5 processes and Wall Street compensation structures as they are deploying AI-driven talent acquisition, people analytics, and data-informed performance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the firm’s end-to-end people strategy including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation design, and organizational development.
  • Build and implement a modern, tech-enabled HR infrastructure using best-in-class HRIS, ATS, and people analytics platforms.
  • Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership to drive the firm’s best-place-to-work mandate — translating the employee-first philosophy into scalable, measurable programs.
  • Develop and oversee Burnham Park’s Wall Street-caliber compensation and incentive framework, including base, variable, and equity-linked structures for registered and non-registered personnel.
  • Manage FINRA U4/U5 registration and regulatory disclosure processes for all registered personnel in coordination with compliance and the OSJ supervisor.
  • Build a high-performance recruiting engine capable of sourcing top-tier talent across equities, investment banking, research, technology, and operations.
  • Design performance management frameworks that reinforce meritocratic advancement and potential pathways to partnership for high performers.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that support a genuinely inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Partner with technology leadership to leverage AI-driven tools for talent sourcing, engagement analytics, and organizational health monitoring.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior people leadership role at a financial services firm.
  • Deep understanding of FINRA-regulated environments including U4/U5 processes, background investigation requirements, and regulatory disclosure management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing compensation structures for Wall Street professionals.
  • Strong command of modern HR technology platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Lattice, or equivalent) and data-driven people analytics.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain senior talent in competitive financial services markets.
  • Experience building culture and people infrastructure in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in organizational psychology, business, or human resources a strong advantage.

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience as CHRO or Head of People at a broker-dealer, investment bank, or capital markets firm.
  • Track record of building high-performance cultures in performance-driven financial services environments.
  • Familiarity with AI applications in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
